The Gard'N Gro dechlorination system is designed to provide the user with a source of water for gardening purposes that has significantly reduced levels of chlorine. Chlorine is removed by electro-chemical reduction using a zinc-copper system. The Gard'N Gro works best at reduced flow rates in applications such as drip irrigation, misting, hand watering, and soaker hoses. Cartridges should be replaced each year. Moreover, this irrigation tool is not intended to be used as a drinking water filter.

Prefilter features a 15 micron double screen.

At a flow rate of 4 to 5 gpm, the cartridge media can process between 20,000 to 25,000 gallons of water.
