Protect your outdoor faucet from tampering and unauthorized use with the Hose Bibb Lockout. This locking system is comprised of two parts: a threaded section with a rotating flange, and a smooth cover with a slot for the flange. The rotating flange has a slot to accept the lock. To lock a faucet, screw the threaded section on, then place the smooth section over it and secure with a padlock. When an unsuspecting theif tries to gain access to your faucet he/she will find that the padlock simply spins without unscrewing the threaded section from the tap. The padlock is included.

By HC It worked fine for me. If a common-variety garden hose fits the faucet, then this should as well. It comes with a padlock; I'm guessing it's so that you won't have to figure out what size padlock to fit it. It hasn't been tested to see if it can be defeated, but seems to serve its purpose. I like that it's small and doesn't rely on being secured to another part of the plumbing.
It's a two-piece system. The inner part threads onto the faucet. On the bottom of the inner part is the tab for the padlock; it swivels freely independent of the faucet part. The outer sleeve prevents gripping of the threading part and rotates freely with the padlock tab.
The padlock isn't all that beefy and I would guess that it can be cut. But if you have that sort of thief, then probably your best bet is to use a lock that completely encloses your plumbing.

By M. Galvan It didnt fit in our water faucet and was of no use. We spent money on something that doesn't even work. And it did come with anything on how to send it back for a refund! Dont buy a waste of your money.
